About Tatra Escapes<\/h3>\n

Most of our holidays are concentrated around Tatra Mountains and surrounding national parks (Slovakia has 9 of them!). Tatra Mountains are known as the smallest alpine mountains in Europe which are situated in the north of the country, also shared with Poland.<\/p>\n

Slovakia is a perfect holiday destination for adventure seekers, outdoor enthusiasts, mountain and nature lovers. Slovakian national parks are a reflection of true paradise for hikers and walkers, and make an ideal destination for wellness retreats, too! You can come to Slovakia in any season, so if you\u2019re a fan of snowy activities, we provide that too! Just take your pick.<\/p>\n

Hi, I\u2019m Alena \u2014 founder of Tatra Escapes, and someone who\u2019s lucky enough to call the Tatra Mountains home.<\/p>\n

I grew up in Poprad, right at the foot of the mountains. Some of my best memories are of being out on the trails with my parents \u2014 walking, breathing in that fresh air, and feeling completely at peace in nature. As I got older, I couldn\u2019t understand why Slovakia wasn\u2019t on everyone\u2019s travel list. So I decided to do something about it.<\/p>\n

Tatra Escapes began as a way to share the beauty of my home with others \u2014 to help people experience Slovakia in a way that feels welcoming, thoughtful, and real. I know how overwhelming it can be to visit a country you\u2019ve never been to, and that’s why we’re here: to take care of the details so you can simply enjoy the journey.<\/p>\n

Even as our small team grows, those personal touches remain at the heart of everything we do. We work closely with local families, guides, and businesses I know and trust \u2014 the kind of people I\u2019d recommend to my own friends.
